Nothing results in nothing...

Everything is good for something; everything results in something...there is nothing that results in nothing...ever! Walking, talking and growing with Him, as we are loved by your Father...AMEN

I love my life

It's super sad that I can't find time to put some of my pictures on here...cause I really wish I could show you guyes where I live and the amazing people here!

I totaly have fallen in love with the BDJ students!
Next week the DTS school here is having the first outreach ever...AND, the SF team are going with them...and me and Emily are so excited!
The guyes here are so amazing...i absolutely LOVE THEM! And the girls too...oh my gosh! Two of my friends: So and Not is just so awesome....:) I really wish all of you could meet them...and whats really funny is that So hardly speak any english...but i truly love her heart for God and her passion for people!

So...there is stuff going on 24/7, and I kinda feel exhausted (at least really tired right now...)...but in a good way though!

God told the slum team to hace a clean up and worship time, and we did...and it was some of the greatest thing I have ever done!

We just started picking up trash in the streets fuiled with endless amount of trash... and when we startet worshiping, a old man came and helped us...and then a wonderfull lady who I feel in love with... and guess who else....all the kids in the village!
They were so joyfull about cleasning up and they were absoltely brilliant! We had so much fun walking around swetting in jeans hehe! There lady is suck a good lady...she try the best she can to learn the kids in the village english..and her two hear old daughter (who was stuck too me all the time hehe) was sooo good!

So...a lot of other stuff is going on, in my head and heart...and God is really talking about some specific stuff with me...but, I don't think its for publiching on the net...but your more then welcome to ask me in a mail or when I meet you again...

But, its sometimes really hard and I cant make a lat sence out of stuff...but that usually when He makes sence out of it for me...and I get so overwelmed with His precense and plans...it really is amazing how He put passions in my heart and then give me an opertunity to follow it!

Anyways... my breakfast this mornign was a chicken heart....that sucked....so, now me and Emily is going to grab a slice of pizza! Sweetness

And oh...Saeng gave me my thai name the other day:
Hanne G=Dta Sowe=beautiful eyes
I love it! I alsow love Em and Tylers names:

Amazing days in Bangkok

Tralala...here is another update... :)

SO, now we're sleeping in Baan Jai Deao, which is really great! We are sleeping 10 girls in one room, but it really seems to be workin really fine...

So, what has happened since the last update...let me see....a lot! Let's start two days ago...

Summer, Isabel and I were walking through campus at the university, and I saw this really big smile on a girl's face, and we went over to talk to her and her friend. We introduced ourselves and found out that they were 28-29 years (but oh my gosh, they look so young) Anyways...we also found out pretty fast that Thead was deaf. That was about all the information we had right then, and what happened next was that they invited us to see where they lived.

So we did, and it was RAD! After hanging out with them for an hour (communication was kinda hard, since there was one deaf girl *she can read lips in thai* and another girl, who hardly knew any english) we invited them to our english lesson..and they came!

It was seriously so exciting! But, when we got to BDJ, I had to leave for slum ministy.

I really think I'm gonna enjoy working in the slums. I have seen a lot of slums before, but..this is probably the worst. Their "houses" are basically build upon the sewer...
But, the people there are sooo amazing! They welcome us with absolutely the warmest hearts!

When I got back from the slums, I heard somebody yelling my name...and I thought it was kinda wierd...because it was pure norwegian...I turned my head, and there she was: Benedicte Tollaksen! (and her awesome friend Christie)

Is was sooo crazy to have a conversation in norwegian...I kinda freaked out...but we kept it going in english, and it was all good! :)

They came with the whole group and ate dinner with us...AND so did the Thead and her friend!

It was such an awesome day...totaly blessed by God in every detail!

So yesterday we had a open ministry day. We had intercession, and split up into groups. God told me to go to the temple and worship... So I, Manni, Tyler, Isabel and Ionathan did. It took us two hours to get there (traffic in Bangkok is a mess hehe) but it was really great just doing prayerwalks and worship in the temples... And it was totally a God thing that we didn't get kicked out, beacuse there were guards everywhere.

(One of the groups...Summer and Luke's group...met a dude who accepted Jesus...seriously rad!)

When we got back, Thead was there to eat dinner with us again..( I'm SO excited about getting to know her better and better) It was super great!
Then we had worship...

I kinda excpected "family night worship" But it was SO MUCH better...we had the most awesome band I had heard in a long time! (it really reminded me of Souls survivor....just thousand times smaller hehe) Everybody was jumping and singing out super loud and I really loved it...so did Thead! She was totally worshiping God!

Another absolutely extraordinary day in God's glory!

And today we split up in two groups and went to two different slum areas...we went there with no idea what to expect...

Then the car stopped and we heard super load screaming...KIDS!
There was over a hundred of them, an they were all absolutely beautiful...and full of energy!
We had so many kids stuck to our bodies that we literaly fell to the floor :)
Then they told us that we had to entertain the kids for two hours!!!
Luckily Kashmira organized everything really sweet... we had a lot of games with them, taught them to count to ten, sang christmas carols and made an impromptu skit about the christmas story and about Jesus! And it was all kinda hard, beacuse there was so many of them, and nobody knew english hehe....

And tonight the girls are going to the red light district for 6 hours...I am truly excited! I think it's gonna be a lot different from the female prostitute ministry in San Francisco...

Ok, that's all for now... God bless and thank you so much for praying for us!

And BTW: I really really like letters (haha...suck up) and my address here is:
(...I know its christmas soon and all that, and I really love all of you for wanting to send me gifts...but, please please don't do it...because my backpack is already too full...hehe)

Thailand-Bangkok update

*Sorry about all the mess and what not...but now the blog is finaly in order and with some more is added*

Wow, can you believe it...I'm in Thailand! And it's amazing(ly HOT)!
It's 35-36 celsius and the humididty is like 100%...swetting like never before, and wearing deodorant places I've never even thought about before haha!
But its'a amazing to be here in Thailand...!!

Right now we are sleeping in a hotel just "out side the city" But we are moving to Ban Jai Deo tomorrow (a buliding) And its like next door to the YWAM base. Theres a lot of Thai DTS students and university students living there (The world largest university is RIGHT NEXT to where we live..and it's like 500 thousand students)

The flight over here took us about 18 hours...then we were in Singapore for a 9 hour sleep over, and then, two hours later we were here in Thailand :)

The two days we have been here have absolutley been crazy! We have been walking around and exploring a lot...kinda like tourists.

Yesterday we visited temples for 8 whole hours. We took a skytrain and a lot of different thai boats..and oh...a thingy..kinda like a scooter mixed with a car (?) haha
We literally traveled through all of Bangkok. (the city is like 10 times San Francisco) But, as I said...we only visited temples...

After the whole temple thingy, we had a little gathering with the YWAM base. It's really really exciting that we are gonna live here with them, because it's literally because of YWAM San Francisco that there even is a YWAM base in Bangkok...and SF has a really good conection with the thai people..which is awesome! So they were all really exicted to meet us...and so were we :)
We have learned some thai, but its seriously hard to learn....although, we are trying to communicate as much as posible with all of them...some of the students are really good in english, too, so that helps!

So, we have been hanging out with the thai teens here only one time...and it seems to me that they have a kinda wierd sense of humor...hehe, but it's all good! So yesterday I ate 6 new fruits that I've never tasted before...namnam.
We found a squid, grilled it and ate it...and then i had one maggot mmmm delicious! :)

Anyways... today has been our first off day. (we will probably have one every week)
And oh man we have enjoy that to the full extent...sleeping in (in our wonderfull big soft beds...I'm rooming with Hannah btw) (we have sooo much fun watchin Chinese MTV..hahaha...its so awful you would not believe it!)
We have been swimming in the pool, walking around in Bangkok...slurping fruit shakes and beeing trapped on desert island in the middle of the road...(hehe, I'll explane later...maybe)
For dinner, me Summer and Emily ordered room service (everything is extremily cheap...every meal (dinner) is like 2-3$...15-20kr)
Then...believe it or not...we got into the christmas mood watching "home alone 2" while massaging eatch other...and then we went swimming some more... :)

I know...it sounds like we are having the time of our life...and we are! But, I'm SO ready for moving in with the students tomorrow. Ready for sharing a room and two showers with ten girls for 5 weeks...working in the heat, and definitely going out to the red light district doing ministry!

Audrey- You would not believe how long it took me to puzzle your little letter...haha! I seriously struggled! But the picture made me sooo happy..and so did your little note! Whenever you go to Italy for missions, you know I'll definitely come visiting you!
I have a lot of pictures...but, I'll see what I can do with that later... tralala
*And oh...I'm SO excited about you blogging...hurray :)*

Can't wait to see what God has in mind for us over here!
Be blessed

Wow....I'm actualy leaving San Francisco...

Be blessed :D
Hanne G

(BTW:Har ikke mye tilgang til internett i Thailand, så det blir lite oppdatering. Og i Vietnam er det umulig...)

We hade like five turkeys with different flavors and we had invited some of our friends, and we had an amazing time hanging out with them, being thankful! I invited Franky, and he came...it was freaking GREAT!

Some shots from the raider game some weeks ago, thanksgiving and a great band that always plays out on the streets of San Francisco!

So, since it was thanksgiving and all, we had the weekend of...and everybody went home. Except Tyler, Ionathan and me....:) KRÆMEN hehe.
I really felt that God wanted me to be at the base during of weekend, and it was sweet!

Saturday, "kræmen" took a bart (woooho hehe) and eventually we found Target, where we spent the entire day, shopping for outreach.
